    Not yet, but it's likely to be quite similar to the Monaco 300SL tune, with a bump up in the transmission department. I never really got very comfortable with the car....

    Hey Rack, nice qualifying time - I'm at 6:14.xxx at the moment. I can't figure out how to play the video. I see your tune in the gray box, but no button or anything to play a video. It sounds like witrucker figured it out, guess I'm not too sharp tonight. It is late.

    Tune Notes:<br>
    When I first took to the track I started as I usually do by stiffening things up and making the rear a smidge stiffer than the front. I quickly found that the car was oversteering like mad, so I added a bit of 'toe in' in the rear, and made the front stiffer than the rear. I also played around with different levels of spring stiffness, and found I was able to keep the car on the track better with softer springs, but I was going through tires a bit quicker, and was a bit slower. Stiffer springs means much less forgiveness, but if you can tame it I think it yields faster times and better tire wear (which will definitely be an issue for this race).<br><br>
    Not exactly the recommended line @1:29, but it sure looks good, eh? I just did that to... uh... line myself up for the next right hander.... yeah.<br><br>

    Started off with the tune that was leftover from the last race a GVS. I it was a tad oversteery on this course, particularly on turn 3(?) I think it is, where you're braking and turning right. Only had about an hour to work on qualifying so we'll see how it stacks up.<br><br>Not enough time to take a video, sorry!

    Tune Notes:<br>
    Very tricky car/track combo here. The biggest adjustment I had to make was being very gentle when letting off the brakes. If you left off the brakes abruptly while turning, the back in really wants to come around here (particularly the two left hand hairpins with downhill entries.<br><br>

    I spent an hour or so playing around with this NC/TMR combo. I get it handling well ... and then see this post and you have the exact same LSD, springs and height as I got to. Couple other things are really close too.

    Hey Rack - I've had trouble with the snap oversteer under braking as well. I get it the worst coming into the big sweeper after the second tunnel.

    I was doing alright, barely making it into the 1:09s with some different settings, and then I decided to experiment with the LSD a bit and go away from my usual "the lower the faster" mindset. Needless to say, it made worlds of difference. The main things I learn are:<br><br>
    1. If you're getting a lot of oversteer (rear end breaks loose) under braking, crank up the braking setting.<br>
    2. If you're bogging out of slow speed corners, increase the initial setting.<br><br>
    Basically, what I had believed in the past that was the lower that you can get away with, the better, because higher number steal powers. Turns out, while this might be the case to some extent, it's negligible, and adjusting these settings can drastically change the characteristics of your car in different situations on the oversteer<------>understeer spectrum.<br><br><br>
    Another key thing to point out on my tune for this car is the ballast. I did as many weight reductions as I could while keeping the car above 1100kg so that I could add a crap ton of ballast back on. I did this so that I could move the ballast towards the front to counteract the oversteer the MR cars often have. Taking this tune and moving the ballast to the middle will result in drastic change in handling. Try it out to find out how much the center of gravity can affect a cars handling.<br><br>

    Tune Notes:<br>
    The main note (and trick) that makes this tune work well is again the movement of the ballast, this time all the way to the rear. It helps to even out the tire wear, as well as get the rear end to rotate through the turns.<br><br>

    This guy....... Makes me wanna chuck my PS3 out the window. Dude is way to smooth and he damn sure is waaay to fast. BTW, did anyone catch him skate the apron on turn #3 (1st lap) right hander? That's just sick, I hate myself...... May I carry yer helmet Rack?
