Crocodile tears. November 24, 2010. It was the day that started the next three years of our lives at the TPRA. From our humble but ambitious beginning in GT5: Prologue to what we are today, we owe a lot of it to Gran Turismo 5. By the time GT5 hit, the TPRA was already a well-known entity in the online racing sim community. But Polyphony Digital's latest effort took our league to new heights. Membership saw unprecedented levels of growth as did race attendance. GT5 was the first full Gran Turismo game to fully utilize and online component, and boy did we make hay of it! With the new tools we were able to realise our idea of what online racing should be about and professionalise our organisation. We could regulate, investigate and even commentate on races; widening the scope on how we could give everyone the best racing experience possible on console. The new game - Gran Turismo 6 will provide us with even better tools to shape our vision. More control, ease of use and general all-round improvements will help this league grow and grow into the future. I want to say thank you to all those that have been a part of my life over the past three years with GT5 and the five total years I've been with the TPRA. The TPRA is a large part of my life and this is like a second home to me. I've met some genuine friends for life here and I owe it all to Gran Turismo and the great people at the TPRA. To those that started it, those that held the fort in the downtime before GT6 and those that commit to carrying on the legacy - I give my thanks for what you have done for me and many others here at this group. Through the good times and the bad, we're still going strong and we're still as tightly-nit as ever. These past three years have brought some ups and downs but the roller coaster ride doesn't stop here. We're just moving to a new theme park. We'll miss you GT5! Hopefully GT6 brings us even better experiences! Get Online and Race! Memories.
