The listing. After news broke last week that reputable site, Newegg.com listed Gran Turismo 6 for the PlayStation 3 and gave it a November 28, 2013 released date, another site has also listed the game. Multiplayer.com, an Italian site, has also listed GT6 for the PS3, also giving it that same release date of November 28, 2013. They're even taking pre-orders. November 28 is a Thursday. Now, that might seem odd since video games are normally released on a Tuesday in North America and on a Friday in Europe, however, Gran Turismo 5 was released on a Wednesday and a Thursday. So November 28 being a Thursday doesn't seem out of the question as a possible date. Now, it must be said that Newegg promptly took the GT6 listing down shortly after the news went global last week. However, two sites in two weeks listing the game with the same release date on the same platform, coupled with the fact that Sony Exec. Michael Denny mentioned that GT6 was coming to the PS3 in 2013 concretes the fact that we will likely see the next Gran Turismo game on this current generation of consoles towards the end of the year. However, Sony next home console, the PlayStation 4 is due for release in the fourth quarter of 2013. Will GT6's release be hampered and overshadowed by the release of Sony's next big thing? It remains to be seen. While nothing has been spoken officially by Sony or Polyphony Digital on Gran Turismo 6, three words and a date are on everybody's lips: Electronics Entertainment Expo. June 11-13, 2013.
