So who here is planning on buying Project CARS on the PS4 when it comes out?
Already paid for.:sHa_popcorn:
What's the other simulation...the one mentioned during the PS4 launch? Drive...something like that?
DriveClub, but it's going to be less sim than GT or Pcars. Project CARS is going to be more sim than GT. Take a look at some of their video's on their FaceBook page here, https://www.facebook.com/pages/Project-CARS-Community-Assisted-Race-Sim/278995465464722.
Pre-order is now available here in Canada. I'll be pre-ordering mine this week.
Thx Jimmy...I'll take a look.
Deeply concerned about G27 support, both on the PS4 and the game itself. If things stay the same, I and those in my predicament will be looking at a huge financial outlay for a new wheel, PS4 & the game, so I might be late to the Project Cars party.
Pre-ordered a few months back, so stoked for this game! :sBo_crazyjump:
The devs have mentioned bringing G25/G27/DFGT support but haven't confirmed it.
Release date confirmed: Nov. 21
those wheels are supported with the pc version, ps4 and xbox on the other hand seem to be exclusive with thrustmaster and fanatec, respectively. The devs have stated they will support whatever sony and microsoft will allow.
Im still getting daily builds and the game is coming along nicely. sometimes i get a gig update a day. cant wait for it to go from RC to Gold. There is still alot of work to do but im positive this will be the best sim racer EVER!
Here's a couple of post from the psn forum that you might find interesting, but not necessarily good.
Im still not sure PS4 owners with G25/G27 wheels should really be worried.
They way it is explained, they simply wont have "legacy" support.
That really means this,,, if a game includes support for ANY USB interface wheel, it will work in that game.
I will not bring up any PS4 menu features, and you will need a controller handy for some things.
But by no means does it mean our Logitech wheels are out of commission.
Knowing how many FFB wheels are already in customers hands, serious driving sim/title developers would be pretty stupid to ignore such a large, and quite serious, segment of their customer base.
Tempest in a teapot.
I'll be late to the show as a PS4 is not in the budget right now.
I'm in the same boat, It'll take either hitting the lottery or my income tax and that depends on any bills I may acquire by then.
I presume there'll also be a price drop at some point in the future to further help you guys out. The PS4 is certainly a fun to place to play, it's just, there's not really much to play right now lol! :sHa_thumb2:
With no intention of buying a PS4, nor paying for PS+, nor getting a new wheel for PS4, GT6 will likely be my last racing game. On the PC front, I am also moving towards the convenience of notebook computers, I am not sure that I will build a powerful PC for gaming.
So, unfortunately, pCARS or Assetto Corsa will not on my radar.
(But there is always something called "never say never".)
I'm running AC on my PC, its nothing special, the only thing I added was a NVidia 680ti card, the Early Access is worth the money. Also, the T500RS feels way better than what PDI did to the wheel with the last update.
